In 1957 the Minnesota Nurserymen’s Association created the Minnesota Nursery Research Corporation (MNRC). MNRC collects voluntary payments from propagators of ornamental and fruit introductions from the University of Minnesota. To date, it has collected over $2.5 million which has been returned to the University of Minnesota for further new plant research.
Our mission is to support scientific discoveries in the field of horticultural research at the University of Minnesota. By supporting advanced horticultural research discoveries we believe we are enhancing the horticultural industry as a whole.
